In seems like every Spring we head out to Moab or to Fruita. This year we’d like to change it up!
In the southwest corner of Colorado is an area that is more of a sleeper but offers amazing mountain biking. There are trails in and around Cortez and across the state line into New Mexico. This is where we are heading. The most well-know trail system there is Phil’s World that has super fun trails for all levels! Long time Dirt Diva Mel & her hubby, Doug McCaw, have volunteered to lead us on several rides around the area.
We have finalized camping. We will have excellent camping facilities at the Dolores River Campground — so NO BLM, pack it in/pack it out camping. Instead, we will have showers, a laundry, & cabins if we want to rent them. Plus, ice cream socials on Saturday evening! AND, hiking — I’m really wanting to hit up Mesa Verde Nat’l Park while we are there. So COME PREPARED FOR HIKING TOO!
When you call Dolores River Campground, be SURE to let them know that you are a part of the Dirt Divas group. They will put us all together and once we have at least 10 coming, they will give us a 10% discount off of camping.
BUT, be sure to RSVP at the “rsvp here” link so we know how many of you fine ladies & friends/family will be coming. Sorry, but no small children are invited. Confirm older children (15 & up) with the Dirt Divas.
RSVP HERE!! Do NOT use the rsvp below — it isn’t working.
